Description
Bryce Canyon National Park, located in southern Utah, is made up of a variety of very colorful canyons and rock formations carved from a high plateau. The most common colors are red, orange, and white. The Park, covering about 56 square miles, was established in 1928 and is under the supervision of the National Park Service. While there are several vista points from which to view beautiful scenes particularly at sunrise and sunset, there are also 65 miles of hiking trails for fit and adventurous travelers to enjoy closer looks into the Park. The rim of the canyon is at an elevation of about 8,500 feet above sea level.
This view of a large area seen from a vista point within Bryce Canyon National Park was photographed on 6-24-2021. I used a Nikon D850 camera body and a Nikon 500mm f/5.6 PF VR lens to capture this image. Settings: 1/800 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400. Two overlapping horizontal photographs were merged using Adobe Lightroom Classic CC in order to present a detailed panoramic view.
